Ok my car isnt exactly stock but when it comes down to the actual motor is pretty much is... my mods include pulleys, Cold air, 73mm MAF, 70mm TB, UPper /lower Typhoon INtake, and Full exhaust... i was wondering how my 89 5.0 would react to about a 6psi super charger. im not going to break anything on my car will i? im just wondering if my car can handle it... im getting an awsome deal on the SC / install so im debatin wether or not to do it. plz help any info would be greatly appreciated thx [Smile]

It depends on the condition of your motor. If it is in good running condition and low miles you should be ok as long as you keep the boost low.

I would do a compression test on the motor before installing one.

If your motor is in good condition you should be fine w/ 6lbs of boost [patriot]

I got 10 psi from an s-trim doing exactly that, with +/- the same mods same intake too lol. stock throttle body, and two gas tanks later i blew a head gasket, broke a motor mount and now im doing bigger things.

you won't regret it though, the first time I took it for a test drive I couldn't whipe the grin off my face.

With 6psi you shouldn't have much to worry, I would've been fine if I'd got a tune. good luck [patriot]
