I got everything back together after having the engine out, but for some reason my electric fan now isn't working at all. I checked power at the switch, it's good; checked power at the plug, it's good too. Checked amps (20M on the multimeter?) and got a reading of up to around 4. I don't know if this is telling me things are normal in that regard or if I'm low on amps. I hooked up my multimeter wires direct to power and ground while on the motor, and it worked fine. I checked all my grounds, they look good. Anyone have ideas? Only thing different now from before is the auto temp sensor isn't wired in, because it didn't work anyways; I held the wire to the contacts anyways to make sure, still didn't work. I'm using a stock '96 radiator and fan and an Imperial fan control module wired directly to a manual switch inside the cabin. Im thinking about taking it off the switch since I leave it on continuously and I feel it's just an opportunity for me to fuck it up and overheat the engine, but I'd like to get this problem sorted before I start tinkering.

Hook power up directly to the fan itself and see if it fires up. If not the fan motor is dead.

Yup it works... I just used the meter's leads as power and ground wires cuz I couldn't find any scrap wiring to use.

dave,
you can have correct voltage and not have correct amps... I want to say the fan needs more than 4, so clean the contacts, from the fan back thru the CCRM, and back some more.
