ok i need a new fuel pump for my notch, becuase this morning my car wont start i tried jumping it, it wasnt the starter becuase the engine was cranking over but wont start, then i remember that on mikes notch(uhoh50) his fuel pump went out and i have the same symtoms on my car as was his problem, so now i need a new fuel pump, what are some suggestions, thanks. [patriot]

Do you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key to the on position? There is an inertia switch in the trunk, push the button on it and see if it was triggered. There also is a relay under the seat you could try too, but if your fuel pump did go out(if it has over 100k miles it probably did) get an aftermarket one, they make 110 up to 255 so depending on the mods you have, one in between will work fine.

If you have to get a new one, i would just get a 255 so you'll have plenty of room to grow and wont have to drop the tank more than once.

is the relay cap green? what if it came off would it be that, thats not making it start?

the fuel pump relay is under the drivers seat and its green, if the relay isn't plugged in then your fuel pump wont turn on when you turn the key to start the car.

ya it was the relay under my seat, when i was cleaning my car i think i pulled it off by accident, but it starts now, thanks everybody
