my buddy and I put on a novi 2000 yesterday on his 2000 gt...started it up...without being tuned and sounding like shit...it seems that its always in boost but it shouldn't be unless there is a load...gauge is reading 1-2 lbs boost off idle....we tried to mess with the blow off but that didn't do didly...anyone have advice?

It should have a bypass valve not a blow off. It might be stuck Does it have a vacuum line going to the bypass valve?

Maybe you just have a bad gauge.

did you route the bypass valve into the discharge tube?
and where do you have to guages' press line coming from?

it's on my 00gt. We found out that the piping we fabricated that connected the bypass valve to the power pipe had torn apart. unmetered air made it run real rich. we rewelded the power pipe to get a new hose on that would connect the two (bypass and power pipe) and the car seemed like it ran fine for about 20 seconds. Now the car is bouncing back and forth from 1000 rpm to 500 rpm continously. anyone know what this could be from? maybe i have another air leak somewhere? oh and it's a Vortech Mondo Bypass Valve and a 4" powerpipe.
