I just put a t-5 trany in my 1990 mustang lx that had a AOD trany, how can you bypass the switch that tells the computer that you are pushing in the clutch??? The starter wont even turn over, but it can e push started.

What do you mean? It should start without pushing in the clutch if you did a 5 speed swap. There is a little jumper plu up under the dash on the clutch safety switch harness, unplug and plug the harness into the clutch safety switch if you want it to start only when the clutch is pressed.

...I was prety sure that u needed to press clutch in for car to start thats why it has the plug...anyways, how would u jumper them without the plug?..and there is a blue and white plug and a black and red plug.

Are you missing the one off the trans or the one on the peddle when i did my swap i didn’t use the one for the peddle so it would start with out the clutch being pushed in but i had the one that plugged in to the trans i believe the plug had to do with the backup lights and neutral safety switch i hope it helps

yes very true you can do it that way if you dont care about having the clutch pedal engaged for it to start.if you want it to have the use of pedal engaged start only you need a pedal switch and you need to plug in the factory wire directly to it which will be inder the dash in the area of the factory clutch switch.wires will be red w/ blue stipe

hope that helps!!!
