Planned on flipping my quad shockstoday , but I couldn't get the damned front pivot bolt even loose! I think the rear retaining nut might be easier to get off but it seems like the bolt is stuck inside....

Just double wrench it, or use a breaker bar. I just use a regualr 3/8" ratchet with a 15mm socket and it always works fine...spray some penetrating oil(PB spray, WD-40, etc) a few minutes before you try to loosen the bolts. Good luck

Yeah use a pipe or something to slide over the end of the wrench to get more leverage, or an impact gun if you know someone whos got one.

Quad shocks are useless anyway [Smile] Eventually, that is.

I'll try some WD40 and a pipe over the wrench next time. Tried double wrenching it, don't have a breaker bar. Don't know if I can fit an impact gun in there. I was going the right way LOL, at first I was going the wrong way and I almost hit myself with a wrench for being so dumb [Big Grin]

Might also try heating the bolt up with a torch or somethin...

Make sure you are trying to losen the right end. Your trying to losen the axle side correct? If so you'll need to losen the bolt from the inboard side as the outboard side is welded on. If you are losening the right side than soak it for a bit in wd-40 and than give it a try. If it still won't break lose than heat it up with a torch.
