LIKE EVERYONE KNOWS..THE E-BRAKE NEVER WORKS ON THE THE FOXBODYS..DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX IT? OR MESS WITH IT SO THAT IT DOES WORK? I JUST WISH I COULD WORK LIKE THE NEW MUSTANG AND HERE THE CLICKING IT MAKES WHEN U PULL IT UP. DOES ANYONE KNOW?

mine works....when I pull it almost to the dome light. I wish they were adjustable like the vw bugs. Those just have two screws or something you can tighten down on and it pulls the cables slack out.

mine works fine, but everything in my rear brakes is brand new [dance] the e-brake handle makes clicking sounds when I pull it up also.

the adjusters are on the drum, get a chiltons and read up on adjusting them.

Tighten up the rear drums and your E-Brake will hold a LOT better.

Hey, there's a second ratchet mechanism that tensions the input cable to the handle- I had to physically move it so my ebrake would work right.
It's the wheel that the cable slides into and lives in.
Might be worth lifting off your console top to take a look at what I'm talking about.

adjust the adjusters on the drum, set the rim on spin it, when it goes around one and a half by it self your rear brakes are adjusted right. maybe twice but no more then that.

ima try that today. thanks for help guys

Yep sometimes you'll need to mess with the cable where it enters into the handle itself. First try adjusting the drums and see if that fixes things.
