ok guys, here it goes. As i was getting home last night i was parking the car in front of the house. The cluth all of a sudden felt softer...i had to feather the clutch a lot just to get it parked because as soon as i let the smallest amount of pressure off the clutch the car would shoot forward. Some other observations are it is very hard to get the car into gear, also, when in gear and idling, the car idles really rough, almost like its going to stall, although from the looks of it the idle rpm is around the same as it usually is. I recently got the cluth replaced w/ a mcleod stage 1, changed the fork, resurfaced the flywheel and got a new bellhousing stud. I have put probably about 10,000 miles on this clutch at most. So what is ur guys' take on this? New tranny time?? or time to go bitch at the clutch installer time?

sounds like the clutch is not disengaging all the way...still have the stock quadrant on there?

From my understanding the clutch quadrant is still the stock one

I know i know, I'm not gonna bitch at all. I was just frustrated at the time i posted. The shop who installed everything is very reputable and they said they're going to take care of everything for me if indeed it is the clutch.

I WOULD CHANGE THAT CLUTH QUADRANT..I CHANGED MY STOCK ONE AROUND A MONTH AGO. ITS SO MUCH BETTER ON THE NEW ONE THE WIRE MOVES FREELY, BUT THE ORIGNAL ONE YOU GOT TO FORCE IT..IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE CHANGE IT TO THE ONE FROM BBK WITH THE FIRE WALL ADJUSTER. ITS COOL CAUSE YOU COULD ADJUST IT FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT INSTEAD OF UNDER THE CAR...GOOD LUCK

Could changing out the clutch quadrant potentially fix my problem?

yes absolutely.....hopefully didn't cause too much damamge.

i put a motorsport HD clutch and went to the dragstrip the next day...smoked it from the dumbass stock quadrant

i'm about 100% sure it's the quadrant...did you pull up on the pedal ? hard....that will adjust the cable..problem is it's made of plastic and will tend to slack off causing the clutch to not fully disengage,so it's partially engaged and constanly wearing the clutch disc
