i'm getting one for sure, just wondering what everyone else thinks about either one. i'm looking to get 500rwhp, and wondering which one is more reliable and has more potential? let me know what you think...

Im not positive, but I think the 2000 is like an S trim, the T trim is a step up. Regardless I would go vortech...after 4 of them I have never had any problems.

wrong, the novi2000 in certain applications is capable of 27psi of boost and supporting 900fwhp...now don't get me wrong the strim is also a great blower but i think it cuts out somewhere around 16psi (depending on application)...there is a person on this site that is making around 560rwhp and hes maxing out his strim(from what he told me)... Novi2k kicks ass

s trim well hmm good entry level blower for me....Don't get me wrong it will support 625flywheel hp but thats about it around 14psi max

T trim is about the same as the novi2k but If I had to choose between the two I'd go novi2k.

probably Forced331...he is making 569 Rear wheel with 13lbs of S trim boost. I have seen S, T, and 2000's in the 9's.

I've seen 10's out of an s trim never 9's maybe on a gutted to hell car.

wish i could post a link, but theres a 342 with an strim doing 9.69's.

coupe gutted weighing in at 2,700lbs with driver right?

Posted by SilverLX351 (Member # 3207) on :

dont know the details on it, but I never said it was GUTTED or FULL WEIGHT. It is a coupe though, and who cares if its gutted????Its still in the 9's just like I said was possible.

Well then you can say there is a truck that has ran 8's with an s trim then......and some nitrous... [Roll Eyes]

3,300lbs with driver

you sure can...but whats your point???? all you are doing is proving my point.

Posted by Fostang (Member # 3752) on :

What was your point of saying it'll run 9's with an s trim?

Posted by Fostang (Member # 3752) on :

Anyways getting back to original question....

I would do the Novi2k it gives you enough right now and with room to grow later.... [Smile]

well your "entry level" supercharger is good for 9's.....NOT TOO ENTRY LEVEL TO ME.

I was talking usuable blower output maxing out a head unit takes a beating on all the internals.

I'd rather have something I'm running at 70% than something I'm running at 105% all the time.

I think both would be pushing it on a stock 4.6 bottom end. [Wink]

i have a built bottom end. diamond racing pistons, eagle rods, upgraded bearings, arp head and main studs, forged crank, etc. now it's time for some big boost(of course fuel system is next on the list)

Big thumbs up on those DR pistons....

well it's settled, the novi 2000RR should be here next week. [patriot]

Novi2k because it has such a wide boost range level, as long as your engine can handle it, put on a small pulley 16lbs?

Good Choice

novi 2k flows 1700 cfm
t-trim flows 1200 cfm

The novi makes the t-trim look like a toy. Then again, having such a big blower on a street car is not very fun when you don't spin it hard at all. To each his own.

There's more than just boost and flow numbers in getting a combo working right together!

T trm is capable of 1200 cfm vs 1700 for the novi hands down navi will make more power...

Yes, it's called a blowers Efficiency range.

there was a interesting article on a real street car a few months back were they pulled a novi 2000 off and put a V2-SQ trim blower on and picked up like 40 hp under 6000 rpm. The Novi is a better high RPM blower. They were only spinning the motor to the low 6K range so the SQ was a much better fit
