My check engine light comes on when i press on the gas and only then. but my air bag light flashes all the time even when im in park. My car runs fine except for that. I just want to know if anyone else has the problem.

if you dont have a code puller, you can do the paperclip/ jumper method... or go to autozone and buy their $40 code puller.

then post up the codes and let us know

why would the egr make the light come on? what does the egr do? [Confused]

If you're in San Jose I can pull the check engine code for you. As for the air bag light; count the number of flashes, it's usually a 2 part sequence (ex; 4 quick flashes, pause, 3 quick flashes= code 43) then cal or stop by your local ford dealer and ask them what this means, they are usually pretty good about helping with this. The most common cause is a bad module or clockspring. Hope this helps [patriot]
