Ok here we go, i was wanting to buy a msd dist. for my 91 with the matching wires and 6al msd box. My question is will it make a inproovement in any way for me, is it worth the money, and aslo they have a msd cap and rotor kit, is that as good as buying the dist. and keeping my stock dist. ??????????? let me know

you wont see a differance and in the long run the MSD box will probably leave you stuck somewhere.

its always a good idea to have a good plug wire to avoid troubles. As for the distributor, you wont see any power gains.

I've heard of people having trouble with the MSD distributors. And the boxes arent really necessary until your running boost, high compression, or nitrous. And yes they also fail a lot also.

Save your money.

You can get a lot more bang for your buck if you spend it somewhere other than an ignition system

Which would be better for me and less trouble. A 5 speed swap or some heads-- or a cam and rockers??

I'd do 5 speed...heads...rocker arms....

How much power are you looking for? I would consider something like the Trick Flow package (Twisted Wedge Heads, stage 1 cam, and Street Heat intake).

If your engine has a bunch of miles on it you may want to consider pulling it out and having it re-built as a 331 or 347. You should feel a big difference then [Big Grin]

it depends on where you look for the parts too.. if you arent in a rush shop around and piece it together like i did... i got a 3 way adj clutch linkage for $50 and a sfi billet steel fly wheel for around $150
