It ran fine last night when i drove to a friend's house, but when i went to start it, the car started to surge. I thought it was okay because it was very cold out, but every light i stopped at, the car wanted to die, so i had to give it gas to keep it running. I started it up this moringing after i cleared the computer and checked the conections, and all it does is surge bad and quit, and i haven't touched it under the hood for a while and i do not know what it is.HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Check your alternator it might be going bad. Is it an automatic, if so my 89 does that once in a while when the lights are on and stuck in traffic or stop light.

My car did similar stuff when the battery ground terminal wasn't making good contact with the battery. $1.99 for a 2 pack of replacement battery terminals at kragen

Try cleaning the 10 pin connectors at the back of the intake with electric parts cleaner, then relube them with dielectric grease.
