i have a brand new 306 in my car the cam has like 465 lift 112 cl my car is eating oil like its gas i drained it today and there was like 1 qt what could it be ???????????????????????

who built it? its toasted rings or valve seals if its not leaking

You sure it's not leaking? What about the exhaust color/smell? Try rollin' on it hard in third and see if it's smoking and leaving a little visible trail. When my motor got tired of being on the bottle it started burning oil bad under throttle. It needed new rings.

check the upper intake - oil loves to puddle in there if the PCV isn't quite right.

What type of oil are you using? normal,syn blend or a full syn? if your using a blend or full syn that may be your problem. because the syn won't let the components seat like normal oil does. most people i know wait 5,000 miles before switching to a syn.

thanks alot i didnt know what it was so i striped the whole topend of the engine and got some gt40p heads trick flow intake mass air 30lb injetors and throtel body it was a bent valve

check the pcv valve it could just be sucking oil threw the intake if not than the ring are gone or intalled wrong up side down or in wrong poss.
