Hello. I had a question maybe someone here can help me with a possible answer.Thanks.

My brakes on my 1983 lx dont work, I have to floor the brakes for them to work.

They dont squeak or grind like when the brakes usually need to be repaced.

I was thnking about having the pads replaced, someone suggested that if they dont squeak or grind it might just be that it needs brake fluid.

Thanks

Master Cylinder Maybe [Wink] If the pedal is to the floor sounds like a master cylinder to me but I could be wrong. Have you checked the pads to even see if they are warn or not?

bleed them,
check for leaks,
check for fluid

i recently had seals around the pistons on the calipers go out on me. So that was my problem.

good luck

There may be air in the system, when I replaced my bad caliper in the rear, I completely flushed out all the old nasty black fluid with some nice new stuff.
