is there a kit or a company that fixes the AOD so that the 2nd to 3rd shift isnt so spread out? In other words , changes the third gear ratio so it's closer to 2nd? I hate the way it drops into 3rd and boggs, feels like going from 2nd to 4th.

AFAIK it is actually going from 2nd to 4th, at least my girls 5.0 AOD does.

whenever I drive it I leave the shifter in D rather than OD to hold it to 3rd, I only put it into OD on the freeway around 75mph which is when 3rd is finally over 2k rpms, lol

i also leave mine in D around town.what i mean is, If you've driven a C4 or C6 equipped car , the RPM drop when the tranny shifts from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd is about the same (if i remember right) but in the AOD, 2nd to 3rd is a larger drop in RPM, which to me makes it feel like it's skipping a gear, ya know?
By the way, what does afaik mean?
OH,nevermind. as far as i know, right? [Big Grin]

It is possible to adjust your 1,2,3 shift points by rpm by adjusting your TV cable. It runs from your throttle body to the trans. To hit overdrive you have to peddle it once . 1,2,3 should be shifting at 5,000. If your bogging your cable needs adjustment
