Anyone know a good place that can install midlengths or long tubes on a 4.6 4V engine for a decent price?

We don't install those types because they leak or dont fit right. Give us a call or stop on by and we will try and help you out the best we can. Call us APEX Motorsports 408-562-1000

Why wouldn't you go with gears before long tubes? [Confused]

Gears are more expensive for my setup: I need the ring and pinion, install kit, new driveshaft (stock is 2 piece design which vibrates with lower gears) and trac-loc.

If your cars rear-end is in such sorry shape that you need a install kit AND trac-loc, I wouldn't even bother taking it to the strip...or putting longtubes on it.

My rear end doesn't have a trac-loc at all, it's not like I have a worn out one. You need an install kit for any vechicle with more than 100k.

Over 100k? Not always. But what do I know, I've never done a set of gears before. [Roll Eyes]

OK so it's maybe not "neccasary" but it wouldn't hurt to get the install kit. Back to the question at hand... who is running midlength headers on their Cobras or even 4.6 GT's? What type of gains do you typically see with midlengths on a modular engine?
