What's the sensor that usually goes out and causes bad idle? Car is dying every time I come to a stop and "hunts" for 30+ seconds on a cold startup, back and forth between 500 and 1200 RPMs until it finds 850. Warm startups it will just die unless I get on the gas a little.

IAC valve. Bolted directly on the side of your throttle body. Pull it off, clean it out really well with carb or brake cleaner. It's probably full of carbon.

clean the throttle plate too with carb cleaner. As a last resort clean the MAF too. Do you have a K&N filter.
