They would sound good, but I would take off the cats and put on flanged straight pipes for better sound. That's what I did since the cats don't garauntee that you'll pass smog.

X-pipes wont pass visual even if the cats pass the sniffer, unless you know someone

x pipe and flows sounds too raspy especially on a 4.6. For some reason it sounds pretty good on a 5.0.

How come? I had no problems when I smogged my car, but that was two years ago [Confused] I have to do it soon again so that's why I'm asking.

i will probably end up putting it on after my swap is done. i like the way the o/r h sounds but it jus smells too much. lol. if i get bored with the bassani i will probably put the o/r back on.

I have an off road bassani and I have one with cats. I also have the bassani cat-back. Right now my car has the off-road on, but this weekend I have to switch back to the one with cats for smog. I used to think the catted pipe sounded good until I put the off-road on. Either case both sound good it's just that the off-road is much louder. Oh yeah, this is on a 98gt.

I too passed smog with my catted basani x only a couple months ago. Techs don't care if it is an x pipe. If it has all the stock crap and works right. No biggie.
