What is the difference in x-pipe with or without cats. are the ones with cats quieter. I want to get a bassani xpipe but want it loud and I am worried if I get the one with cats it will be too quite? is there a big difference?

I have a bassani X-pipe without cats on a 2000 GT and I love it. I have heard a bassani X w/ cats and i dont think its loud enough. I would definetly recomend getting the X with out cats, installation is strait forward and just takes time.

The catted bassani x-pipes sound totally stock if you have dynomax turbo mufflers or similar. I would get a bassani with no cats since the catted ones don't pass the visual smog inspections, plus you get that mean sound.

I had cats on my Bassani, but I decided to take them out since I'll be using my stock cats for smog check. I've got Flows and they sound great with no cats. One thing is, you're gonna smell your exhaust fumes big time! Hope that helps.

No cats is the only way to go.

Huge difference in sound. The one w/o cats is way loud especially when you rev it.
Get the one w/o cats and hang your stock H-pipe in the garage for smog tim
