i have a 96 cobra and right now all that it has is exhaust, from the headers back, a modified mass air, and k and n filter. i just finished putting on full length subframe connectors and i am waiting for an eaton posi unit to put in. Along with that i will add an aluminum driveshaft, 31 spline axles, and 4.10 gears. i also just put in a dual friction clutch and a flywheel to match it. i wanted to know what would be an estimate for my times at the quarter mile. as of right now i am running 13.7s. if anyone knows id like to know thank you.

1.- What was your 60ft w/ the 13.7? Traction is the name of the game in drag racing! Was that on Drag Radials?

2.- IF you have decent traction, it should be able to sneak into the 12's w/ a 1.8x 60 ft.

4.10s aren't great for cobras looking for low E.T. if i remember correctly, you will finish the 1/4 in the middle of 4th gear. i would go with 4.30s or even 4.56s like i did. with 4.56s i still got 19-20mpg.

the 13.7 was on stock tires and the 60 foot time was about a 2.1 or 2.2

about the gears being 4.30's or higher im not too sure because it is my only car and its driven daily, and my gas mileage is not that great as of right now.

what size tires are a good size to run at the track?? right now i have saleen rims and 295/35/18 on the back of the car.

3.73's are pretty good for the track because you end up being at the end of 3rd in the 1/4 mile. 4.10's make you shift into 4th and you don't get to be in it for long enough. So I suggest either 3.73's or 4.30's/4.56's.
