I am going to need some new tires soon. Just curious what drag radials are out there? I only have 9" rims so I am probably going to run a 275 tire. I have 295's on there now and they stick out past the rim too much. The 275 looks much better IMHO. What is the best price that you have found and most importantely>> Are they available?
Thanks for any help.

BFG has the G-force 18" Drag Radials in 275/35 ($208), 295/35($229), 315/30($261). I hear they hook pretty good but don't last very long, probably under 5k miles. Prices are from discounttiredirect.com.

Nitto has the 285/35($253) and 305/35($269). I found those prices at onlinetires.com. You could probably get away with the size 285 Nitto on a 9" rim, because they tend to run smaller. I had the 315/35/17 DR's on a 17x9.5, and they were about the size of BFG 295's.

I have the Nitto Extreme Drags, and I love them. I bought them used for cheap, but mine are 305/45/18, which is on my Lightning. With my truck tractions even worse because I have no weight in the rear, but when they are heated, the nittos will stick very well. Although I have never had the BF drags, I really like the way the nittos stick.. Although not very good for winter time!!! Just my .02 cents...

Mickey thompson just came out with a new dragradial that is supposedly stickier than the BFG's you mightwant to check them out. I think that JEGS.com has them in stock. Or if you go to any americas tire with a printed out internet price they will match or beat the price.

Yeah they are better but they don't come in a 18inch tire just yet. I would go with the BFG's. Drew got those on his car and I think he pulled a 1.7xx 60ft with those things with his 347. I haven't got a ride in the car with those tires but everybody that I know that has says the tires hook great!!!!!

Yeah Harold, 1.74 60ft on the BFG's, even with 25psi in them. Those tires are awesome.....except that mine are almost gone and they have about 1000 miles one them [Eek!]

I ran 1.81 60fts on my stock mach with 275 nittos and i got 9k miles out of them and 30+ passes at the track. It might be worth loosing the tenth and getting 9times as much life out of them.

The E/T Drags for the track [Big Grin]

The only problem with this equation is nearly all of my miles have been spent driving down the track and return road [Wink]

And even when it is on the street those tires are being abused in a major way...lol
