The guy who I bought the car from said he uses Castrol GTX 5W-30 oil in the stang. I don't know much about S/C car's but in my last stang I used Mobile 1 Fully Synthetic 5W-30. I was planning on using it again, but want to make sure synthetic is cool to run in my car with the S/C. What do you reccomend?? Thanks!

I'd use the Mobil 1 Synthetic....

My personal favorites are
Castrol Syntec
Mobil 1
& Redline

Synthetics are used in a wide variety of performance cars...Mobil 1 Comes factory in ZO6's, Porsche's and Cobra R's....

Vortech's manual says to only run a good synthetic. HCI told me to run 5W20 or 5W30. so your 5W30 Synthetic sounds right on the money! I like Mobil 1

#1 Amsoil
#2 Redline

Either of which are considered top shelf. I like amsoil a touch better because I feel their testing is a little more involved that Redline's

Anyone ever use Royal Purple products?

I personally like Amsoil and Mobil 1 but was considering trying something new. But at $2.00 more per quart over Mobil 1 i'm not sure it's worth it.
