It's 2 driver side Rangers, 2 passenger side Aerostars..or one of each. Has to come from the 7.5" rear, 8.8 models will not work.

don't do mk8 spindles...you'll be screwed when you want to get wheels. you'll have to use cheapo spacers to get them to fit. pay a little more now, and don't get screwed later [patriot]

I've done plenty of these conversions. 94-97 Cobras, 95 R wheels, 2000 R wheels, tri-bars, 94-98 Pony wheels.

so what wheels wont work with this setup

Posted by JohnB (Member # 969) on :

The years for the Ranger/Aerostars are 83-92. Wheels that won't work are basically anything with a 5.72" offset or less. Mach 1's, Bullit's, 98-99 Cobra's, wheels like those.

If you feel like spending as little bit of money and having nice new parts, FRPP has a conversion kit for the rear that costs about $200. It has new axles and 5 lug drums. I would fork up the cash rather than hunt through wrecking yards for old crap.

PICK AND PULL 50% off this weekend can't beat axles and 5-lug drums for $20. [Big Grin]
