Hey gues, I have a stock 86 5.0 w. E7 heads. I've been wanting to do a cam swap for awhile, my question is, what cam should I run? What cam can I have without knocking my valves into my pistons?
I was thinking of either an FRPP E303 (220duration- 498lift - 110* lobe seperation) or the TFS Stage 1 (221int/225ex duration - 499int/510ex lift - 112* lobe seperation). Can I run either of those cams with the E7 heads?
Thanks guys.

I have a 86 gt also. stock short block with
e7te heads, e-303 cam, gt-40 upper and lower intake, 75mm t/b and spacer, and long tube headers with off road h-pipe. AND MY SHIT SCREAMS! Has a loppey idle at 900 rpms though.

You say that like a lopey idle is a bad thing?
Anyone else have some input?

The only bad thing about it being loppey is
that i get about 115 miles to a tank of gas

I found a good deal on a TFS Stage 1 cam, think that cam would work okay with my combo? Really need input on this! Thanks in advance.

either cam should be fine, the TFS#1 should make more power, make sure you replace your valvesprings if they have a lot of miles! (80k+)
