bypassing the heater .. all you do is run the one hose back into the other? any benefits like running cooler, faster circulation.

Also, there is that big medal tube that runs next to the passenger fuel rail.. can you just delete that thing and put the hose into the water pump?

no benefits......
yes,you need that black tube,
unless you dont want to run a coolant sensor.

I took that black tube off.. didnt need it.. once you delet that black tube.. your gonna have to plug one of the holes on the Water pump.. then get an adapter for the coolent sensor.. and plug the back hose for the EGR. Her is a picture.. not a good one but you can get the idea. And it gets you some extra room to work with

yeah u can lose the metal tube, either get a pipe bushing that goes from the sender to the manifold threads, brass is the best because it wont corrode, u can get them at an plumbing place, maybe even home depot

or like what i did since it was an emergency/after hours repair, i took the metal pipe, cut all the pipe of the assembly and just kept the housing body that holds the sensor, and then welded the big hole closed where the tube use to connect

for the hose that connects to the waterpump, either u can cut the hose and stick a piece of bar stock in it or a large long bolt with the threads cut off, and then clamp it, or just use a rubber cap, but the camps tend to not last to long, i went through a couple before i welded mine shut [patriot]

if anything i said confuses u, just ask me over pms or something, because sometimes i rant like an incoherent bum drinking steel reserve [Whoo Whooooo!]
