No, it's not the x-pipe that makes it raspy. It's the short resonators and resonated tips they use. I've heard two cars with SLP cat back now, one with a stock H-pipe, and one with a VRS X-pipe. They both sounded like a blown out glasspacks (if anyone here is old enough to know what those sound like).

Don't mean to hijack just about Bassani?

Does anyone have any real world experience w/ a catted Bassani X and 2 ch flows?

Would the chambered sound of the flows eliminate the rasp from the X?

I have to agree. Had them on two Mustangs and was always happy.

Cheers,

dude flows plus x = lawn mower [Embarrassed]
ive heared two cars around my town and i know they have flowmasters and a off road x and it sounds like a lawn mower. so yes it does cancel out the raspyness but sounds like shit. however x pipe plus i think the guy had borla, might have been magnaflow but pretty sure borla sounds pretty nice. really exotic not too much raspyness at all.

Ya that's what i figured. I had a prochamber on before and that w/ the flows sounded great....the deep sound is much better than x-pipe sound...i'm sure the hp difference is quite minimal anyway.
