What brand headers are you using?..It could be possible that your flanges are warped...

BBKs are the best when it comes to quality. I picked up a set of Earl's Pressure Master exhaust seals and a set of 1" header bolts. I haven't had to tighten the bolts since and it doesn't leak.

I had the same problem but with both headers. The BBK headers went on without a problem. I torqed all bolts to spec as directed but they kept backing out on me. I went ahead and picked up a set of Stage 8 locking header bolts and havent had a problem since. I wouldn't put headers on without them.

I have those same locking header bolts. But also get the Percy's Aluminum gaskets. You'll never leak again.

stage 8 lockinh header bolts = [worship]
I would reccomend putting a lockwasher on both bolts that hold the collector to the xpipe... it sucks if that bolt falls out, it happened to me [Frown]

Correction: I meant to say, "BBK isn't the best..."

Anyways, I sent you a PM back, but I got some error message, so I'm not sure if it went through. Earl's Pressure Master Seals can be found on Summit's catalog or at most performance shops.

The BBK headers I originally bought came with a hole in the passenger side collector... [Frown]
