What are the benefits to manual steering?

a hard steering wheel, if you call that a benifit. [Wink]

My assumption would be, less weight on the front from not having a p.s pump, and less parasitic lag from having to run it.

Less sensitive steering at high speeds. Feels a lot better turning at high speeds.

Less weight off the front end, and more responsive steering at high speeds.

No more wandering feeling. I'm all over that.

my coupe follows ruts on the freeway like crazy. Basically it has a great feel when I'm driving fast on a windy road (92, 84, 1...basically in my neighborhood [dance] ). But doing u-turns, or like fordpny said, trying to use a cell phone and drive around at low speeds (plus shift) is a pain in the neck.

my coupe has the flaming river manual rack kit on it.

Engine bay looks a whole lot cleaner with it too.
