Ford racing sportsman 302
Or the New dss stage 2.
Looking for a really strong block, but r302 seems a bit overkill.

the DSS blocks are stock blocks just well prepped. i'd say sportsman, it has thicker main caps, and main webbing i believe.

stage 2 dss is a f**king joke, any good machine shop could prep a block as well or better than DSS, and they charge a shitload for it
the sportmans in stronger
but if going after market anyway, look for a used A4 and build that

Overkill is good in terms of block strength. You don't wanna drop $$$$+ on your internals only to have them spit out of block.
D.S.S prepped blocks are just stock blocks that are de-burred, deck-plate honed and chased threads, smoothed oil passages, etc. It all depends on what you want to spend.
The Sportsman is stronger than a stock block.
