What numbers are people running with this kit? I think i can knock out the install but for the right price ill gladly pay someone to do the dirty on it. Im just not all that confident with the cam and valvetrain area, new territory for me.

I have 2 shops that quoted me between 500-600 for install and adjustments. Just a FYI

From my understanding, the track heat kit puts out 360 on motor. Thats a cheap price for install. Where are those shops located? Are they reputable?

that's a really good price for the install, you should take it.

remove radiator, AC (if applicable), fan, tear the motor, headers, etc. down all the way to the shortblock, replace the cam, h20 pump and intake gaskets, degree the cam, adjust the rockers, verify pushrod length, re-time the engine, play with fuel pressure, re-install headers, intake, front dress, chase any problems and return to customer. well deserving 500-600 IMHO.

I'd expect somewhere around 290-300 rwhp for a TFS stage 1 cam, TFS TW heads, and a track heat intake. not sure what the "TFS" combo is though. Don't forget the rockers and pushrods

What kit are you refering to? Street/track intake? Stage 1,2,3 cam? With the correct setup, you should see 300 rwhp.

If a shop is only quoting $500, you better go with that. That's cheap.

well its actually the top end kit, so all the parts are really already matched. Talking to the shop again their saying closer to 600. Ya its reputable, ill shop around for a bit. The thing is with that install tag im feeling id rather throw on a blower with a custom chip, thats why i ask [Wink]

OH yes im referring to the track heat with i believe is a stage 1 cam. stage 2 would be too much cam for a 95gt daily driver imo.

You can find the kit on the Summit website. Comes with Stage 1 cam, intake, and heads. You also get gaskets, pushrods, and roller rockers I believe. You can opt for either the Street or Track Heat. I think the only difference between the packages is the intake. Both packages run approximately $2000-$2100.

Thinking of maybe doing the same once I have saved enough.

Yeah i have a v-1 s-trim laying around but i think my 100k block and 30lb maf/injectors(not in car but on hand) would benefit and appreciate the TFS kit more. Just trying to tally up pros and cons to make a decision. If i were able to do the TFS install myself i would buy it in a heartbeat, but piece of mind makes me want to get it put in.

big boy racing, installed tryin2gofast i/h/c combo for 500$ i believe. and that included all the gaskets.

Yeah, the TFS combo will really complement the supercharger. It would be interesting to put the TFS combo head-to-head with the Systemax II combo if it hasn't already been done.
