heres the problem changed the clutch on a 85 gt it started fine but starter made a loud sound every time it started but now it doesn't start but sound like the starters stuck or [Confused] what could this be [Confused] thanks [Big Grin]

was your mid plate(thin plate between motor and tranny)in good condition.if bent,it could cause ploblems with starter and flywheel.

thats what i was told i was thinkkingit might be this but not sure when i first got the car the mid plate was all scraped on top next to the flywheel could this be the problem [Confused] thanks

if i run my car with out the mid plate well there be any problems?

are any of your starter bolt's broken if so it might be loose and thats why your mid plate is scraped. Or the gear in the starter might be broken and it aint touching the flywheel this happend to my car.

thanks for the reply's fixed the problem it was the mid-plate were the starter go's i grinded the plate and put the starter back and it worked fine [patriot]
