Ever since the vortech V-1 s trim went in, there is this strange whisling sound coming from under my hood.
I heard it could be a bad belt...some guy told me it sound like a bad alternator.
Any ideas???
Just kididng.
Do you guys ever find REDICULOUS tech questions on other sites? Jesus, if it's not once, it's two times or more a day that I find threads like this, or...."I just put an x cam in my car, and no the idle is no longer smooth...what's wrong with my ride??!! please help!!!"
I used to get all worked up, but damn...now it's my free entertainment for the day!

That whisling sound is a reminder of the noise you heard when your money whisled out for installing that shit. HAhahaha

Mmm, I'd check the V1 inlet for a bird, maybe a robin, fench or possible parakett...Could you explain what size exhaust you have?...It's possible that with a 3" cat back the birds made a nest...
EDIT~ NO question is a stupid question....
What does bothers me are the repeat questions...For example when someone asks about Which CAI to get and then I read 2 posts down and read the same question...

I think the one question that has been beat, hit by a car, run overed by a semi, shot by a tank, and dropped from a plane one too many times is. "What Gears to go with."

Pushrods...birds made a nest...robins.....oh god guys...LOL!
I totally agree with your post Black94 5.0. We all make mistakes in thing like that, but sometimes it's JUST too many...one after the other.

Along with the "Where to get gears installed"" and "How much for a ring and pinion install?" threads.
We're also getting a lot of "Smog help" questions lately.

No, the "how much power do you think my combo will make?" posts are the worst.
Now asking guesses before a dyno trip is legit in my book though. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

the 1 question that always seems to get asked is the 'which mufflers will work the best?' there are going to be a different answer for every person who replies.
