i bought some 24lb injectors and was wondering if the installation was going to be hard? I have a 87 5.0 with a 93 motor in it... do i need to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds or could i install the injectors without removing that much. any help will be apprecitated greatly thanks -tony

Tony it's pretty straight forward. The upper intake comes off and you swap the injectors over. Make sure to check for leaks before the intake goes back on by cycling the key on and off until fuel reaches the injectors. Also you will need a new matching Mass air meter for the injectors. What is prompting you to change injector size?

i ordered a gma or gmf can't remember the name but it's a recalibrated mass airflow sensor that comes with either 19 24 30 36 size injectors. i was thinking that 24 would be a decent size to go with but do you have any suggestions? thanks

What modifications do you have?...If you are still using the stock heads and cam I'd stay with 19#'s...

What is done to the motor for the car to need 24# injectors? I only ask because IF your car doesn't need them; why even try to put them on?
Edit: I really did not see your post just before mine

My opinion, you could put the 24's on if you really wanted to and had an aftermarket regulator and fuel pump also. But I would leave the 19's on until you put heads on or a cam or both

If you need any of those parts installed on your 5.0 let me know thats what im doing at my shop. my .02 on the inj. is leave the 19lb. you will prob lose power with the 24's because the combo you have now really dosent need that much gas even regulating it. as for a next mod i would go for a larger throttle body, a larger mass air meter, and or some aluminum heads. heads make a world of difference costly but worth it. or if you just want to go fast quick the jug would be a easy choice $500 bucks for a usually garanteed 100 horsepower. also make sure you have some gears installed that will wake your pony up espeacially light to light.
