where can i get a shifter handle online besides ebay? I dont want to change the whole shifter (yet...i would prefer a shorter throw between gears though) i just need a shaft with a lower angle towards the seats so i dont have to lean forward to shift (for a truck).

i've asked around a few parts shops, truck specialists (supposedly) and even autozone let me down. i dont know of any place on the internet.

I liked having a UPR trick stick with a stock shifter, Felt pretty good. Maybe you can try that out, its only like 30 bucks. [burnout]

Maybe if you mentioned that in your original post I wouldn't have posted that link...Thanks for editing your original post...

It might be a good idea to tell us what kinda of truck you have...Year, make, model, engine size, yes all that can make a difference...

why dont you look at the time/date of my edit and the time/edit of your reply [Roll Eyes]

and while i'm bothering to reply to you anyways, to answer your request for year/make info, try reading my original post again, and see what i'm looking for. all i'm looking for is the stick part of the shifter. but do me a favor and dont bother to answer. i've had enough sarcasm from you.

the above quote is what i added in my 'edit' so it wouldn't seem like i'm asking for nothing.

OK newbie, it's simple...If you have ever posted on any website for tech information they would tell you the same thing...We need to know what kind of vehicle you're working on...If it's a manual or an automatic, Ford or Toyota, these things can and will make a difference...

So, if you're looking for a good answer give us good info...

If you feel like you have been treated unfairly, maybe californiafords.com isn't for you... [patriot]

obviously its a ford, and its actually my third ford in a row that i've bought.
i wasn't asking someone to pick one out for me, but for a website that has a selection for me to choose from.

last time i checked, you dont need all kinds of specs on a truck just to find a shop or website that sells the part that you're looking for.

i'm far from 'new' to message boards about cars, and although i've owned several fords (2002 and a 2003) i always avoid ford or mustang messageboards because you guys are just so stupid.

in any case, thats fine, the feeling is mutual. i made the clear mistake of asking you people for a very simple question, when i could have simply went to my usual gm/f-body sites, where a ford mustang/truck owner gets more respect, and the maturity level is not even comparable.

good bye, oh and thanks for reminding me why i stopped reading your tech section in 2002 [Whoo Whooooo!]

we cant help you if we have no idea what kind of trans is in that truck or even what kind of truck it is. this forum is better off without you anyway with that "my shit dont stink" attitude. its not our job to help you, go complain to the customer service dept [patriot]

We at least need some sort of information to help you out. Since you edited your post most people reading it didn't know ANY specifications to your truck whatsoever. Only in your next posts did you divulge it was Ford Truck. Since there were millions of Ford trucks built over the past couple of years, that seems to really help narrow that down so we can help you. Just because you coughed up the money to buy 2 Ford cars you think you are somewhat superior? Judging from your vague posts about wanting a shifter for a truck we know nothing about, this certainly isn’t true. How are we idiots when YOU cannot even find a shifter for your own truck? Please.

Yes, please go to another site to ask for more information about this mysterious Ford Truck that you want a shifter for. I’m sure if you posted this on any other site, they would ask you the same questions (more info, model, etc) that we would be asking at this present time. For some reason you think we are being sarcastic, when we just want to help you in your situation.
As for this site there are numerous people that post on here that do not own ford cars/trucks, but we help them just the same. What does maturity level have anything to do with when you are the one getting angry over your unclear posts?

Cafords.com deeply regrets not knowing about your truck’s specific model/year/engine size before you posted it on Tech Talk. We will brush up on our psychic lessons soon. Troll.
