this is what I've done so far on this head. how does it look? keep in mind I don't yet have a gasket set to match the ports to, I'm just working on smoothing out the exhaust bumps and the valve guide bosses.

Look pretty cool to me...The pics are in step, right?...The last pic looks to have the most porting...

It's too bad you don't have dyno numbers before and after... [patriot]

you really kicked those valve guides' ass!

if you're removing much material, I'd CC those heads if I were you just as a self-check, (difficult with EGR ports, I know)

I thought CCing was only for combustion chambers? and I haven't even began to port match them.

when you port the shiznit out of the runners, put the valves back in and CC them, a good sanity check for your work. [Whoo Whooooo!]

what's cc?

Posted by zpyro35 (Member # 3745) on :

cubic centimeters, cc is used sometimes as a verb referring to measuring the volume of cylinders, combustion chambers, etc.

and what would i be looking for if i did cc the heads?

As far as I know shade- is talking about filling the the ports with a CC measured amount of liquid....Pour it into the ports or combustion chamber to see if teh port volume is the same with all of the ports... [patriot]
