i cant get these fuckers out! i am tilting the engine and i still cant maneuver them out. i'm trying to get them from the bottom. i think i need to lift the front higher, but i have a 3 ton jack and its up almost as high as it can go. then theres not many spots to jack the engine up without the jack getting in the way of the headers. i'll have to continue tomorrow cause this is annoying. i almost want to just pull the heads cause thats how i installed them

the driver side one usually comes out from the bottom and the pass. side one comes out the top. you'll get they are a bitch! good luck!

i got both of mine in and out from the top, its pretty easy if you have a cherry picker, i simply lifted up one side at a time. [patriot]

I just put mine in last night.. OMFG!! it was such a biach!! I resorted to a BFH and that made it a little easier. The thought of taking them out makes me cringe.

unbolt the motor mounts and tilt the engine from side to side, pull them out the top.

i finally got them out and scraped the headers up pretty bad. for the passenger side, i got under the car and started kicking the header out as hard as i could, i was pretty mad at this point. i think i'll pay someone to put them back in

u think those r tough put in hooker longtubes on a 96 on up mustang [Wink] then u guys wouldnt say anything about the 5.0 header install [Big Grin]
