I have a 1986 5.0 and the heater is not blowing hot air any more, some times it blows warm, it doesnt blow hard either, and it makes a lot of noise, I am not leaking coolant any where, and no condensation on the windows. What the heck could this mean.

Maybe a stuck open thermostat. Thats the easy thing to check first. Anything else is more involved so I'd start with that. Get yourself a good 180 degree stat. If the heater isn't blowing hard than it may be the blower motor going bad especially if its making noise.

i think thats your prob. it's better than replacing the heater core, so you're kinda lucky there.

Wsup guys, I thought it was my themostat too, I changed it, I even stuck it in boiled water to make sure it was opening. Thier is a good chance it's the Blower motor b/c it is makeing a lot of noise, and it does not blow hard at all. However I have no idea where that piece might be, and how difficult it is to replaice? thanks guys....
