That's not the weight of the car. It is probably listed as 'Curb Weight', right? That's the max load of the car including the car's weight, full load of fluids, people and gear.

Your car probably weighs aroudn 3500-3600 pounds.

Yeah, I can't imagine a Saleen vert being that heavy. Heavy is my friend's LT-1 T/A which weighs in between 3700-3800 lbs. excluding driver and passengers.

damn that a heavy ass LT1.

Just for refrence, my brothers girlfriends all option 96 Z28 (ttop + auto + half tank) weighed in at 3640 with him in it (150lbs). My friends LS1 (all option 99 TA ttop 6spd + full tank) weighed in at 3800 lbs with him in it (200lbs). My freinds 96 Cobra (+ 1/3 tank) weighed in at 3540 with him in it (220 lbs). My 5.0 (+ 1/3 tank) came in at a whopping 3320 with me in it (160lbs).

Yeah...that's what I thought. I remember he and I were cruising along and he asked me to get something out of the glove compartment and came across this official looking piece of paper (can't recall if it was registration, smog, or other kind of document [Confused] ) and it stated that his '95 Trans Am weighed 3,750 lbs. I'll have to talk to him again and see if we can retrieve that paper. His car is optioned out but has the 6 spd. instead of the auto. In any case, I thought that was a little on the heavy side. BTW what model Mustang do you have? GT, LX hatch, LX coupe? Thanks... [patriot]
