just wondering. i have a 87 5.0. would a mass air flow work in my car that is out of a truck of some sort? like a 89 f150 or something? what would work or do i need one that is made just for a mustang. i want one that is about 75mm or so and for 24lbs injectors. just exploring my options

I'm not 100% on this, but I thought the 302 F150's were all speed density... [Confused]

I know you can use a MAF from a 302 Explorer, but they are not 75mm and not calibrated for 24#'s either...

Unless you have heads and/or a cam it is pointless in switching to a mass air conversion...

only the `96 F-150's had MAF

I used to have a `95 speed density F-150 [patriot]

He does have a cam and he does does have head work.

I did it.

Crower cam the best IMO [Razz]

Heads have been blended/ported.

He needs the maf or it'll fluctate the idle like crazy.

Try a super coupe MAF they come in 70mm already calibrated for 24lb injectors same as the cobra.

You may be able to get away with using a 96 up type cobra maf also and if memory serves me right those are 80 mm. but don't quote me on that one.

If you have 24 lb injectors you need to have a maf calibrated for them.

I would have simply kept the 19lb injectors and just ran more pressure to them.

Then just find a maf thats for 19's
