Am I gonna have any clearance issues with my FMS aluminum drive shaft if I mount the engine to the rear 1" set back K-member holes? Heard that if I mount the motor on the "rear" K-member mounting holes, I'm gonna have to get my driveshaft shortened. Anybody have any experience with this?

true, I don't think it's all that much money to have it shortened. The only other thing with running on the 1" farther back holes is your Exhuast is also pushed back an 1" Make sure that will be ok too. You can run into clearance issues with the headers and the fire wall, and other spots.

better weight transfer, more weight on the rear tires

Exactly, but if it's gonna be that much trouble I think I'll just leave it on the front mounting holes.

I can't see one inch making so much of a difference to go through all the hassle. I think Shaun stayed with the regualr holes on the same K-memeber right [Confused]

u have to remember that this trick is worth it too some, so people with have extra special work done to there motor that cost upwards of who knows how much to gain 5hp

moving the motor back will cost $50 and its will give u better 60's, how much better i have no clue, but every little bit counts

rhombeus, i had a thought, you are running a tko/3550 right

well doesnt the tko/3550 need a 3/4" longer drive shaft, so if u move the motor back 3/4" then u dont need to do anything

yeah shaun stayed w/the front holes... i'll probly try it out when i get a tremec tho eric. that sounds like a future plan. i never new that info about the tko!

You also have to watch out as where the Steering shaft goes cause I know Yellow94gt ran into that problem.
