did you disconnect your starter? did you knock something lose.

Could be that if you disconnected the battery while doing this that the computer lost the program that it had. Sometimes the car will need some time to re-learn the program that was on the car before but it should start anyhow. Is the motor cranking?

will it crank? does it try to start and just sputter? does is not even click, turn, or make any power of any sort?

Need some more info.

no it may not be your alternator what made you think that?

I think you screwed up your firing order on the wires.

Dude, if all you did was install longtubes then you should not be having any problems at all. But since you are, YOU NEED TO REMEMBER what you unplugged or disconnected while you were doing the install. Obviously you unplugged the spark plug wires right? What else did you unplug? When you REinstalled the spark plug wires did you make sure to plug them in EXACTLY how they were before you started? I think you have a minor problem but you may just be overlooking it.

A bad alternator is not why your car isn't starting. Your car uses battery power to start bud, not the alternator.

Bottom line___________ TELL US WHAT YOU DID STEP BY STEP. It is kinda like telling the doctor what hurts. I know it can be embarrassing, but you gotta tell us so we can help [Wink]

I'm willing to bet it has something to do with the spark plug wires not being installed correctly.
