Sounds like your syncro's, but if its hard to go into gears other than 3rd, then a SPEC II could be in your future...

I completely agree with this statement. Are any of the other gears difficult to get into, or gring? It does sound to be a syncrho issue, so DONT go pay anyone $110 to have it looked at, for something that we jsut told you, PLEASE! If anything you can buy us a 6 pack

Yes i must agree with everyones 2 cents on this.. my buddy keith has the same issue with is 02 GT.. and he took his in, it is the Syncros.. he has to shift into 2ND..from 5TH just to get into 3rd. or u have to walk it in while it grinds.. if you have the same problem.. ya i doubt its the clutch

Syncros out in under 50,000 miles? sounds like grounds for a lawsuit. Good trannys last 100,000 without having issues. Since when did Tremec start making garbage?
I think you should talk to Jon and Kev's friend Keith and see if anybody else with late model GTs are having premature tranny failure.

i had that synchro problem when my car had less than 5k miles!!! i wouldnt doubt it if they have a recall on that in the near future! ]
