if my clutch is slipping on my king cobra clutch i just put in less than 4,000 miles ago is slipping could it be because i didnt put a adjustable clutch cable in and if so if i put a adjustable cable in friday should i put another clutch in? thanks for all the help

You should start with the clutch cable. Having the clutch properly adjusted will tell you better the condition of the clutch and it's a cheap part. Most likely if the clutch is slipping already the clutch cable will not fix the problem. It's likely who ever did the clutch install didn't clean the mounting surfaces properly during the install. Also the pressure plate has to be torqued in a specific seq. or you can run into problems. If you need any help with this project or anything else down the road let me know.
