My car died in an intersection yesterday, it seemed like I had run out of gas. But I still had just under a half a tank. Had some guy help me push it into the gas station and filled her up. The she started right up again. A budy of mine said that if the fuel pump is crappy (which it is) then if it has less than half a tank it can over heat. I also have 195k miles on it.lol

But to make a long story short, should I just get a stock fuel pump or should I upgrade to a walbro, bbk, etc.

When it quits again, turn your key to the "on" position,-not "start", you should hear your fuel pump buzz for a second. If it aint buzzin, proably the pump or the relay under your seat. Get a pump for a 93 cobra at Napa for $97, and a new fuel filter to validate the warranty. Its a 155lph..

You can proably find one for cheaper on this site. Walbro is good. They all work I guess, some just last longer than others. [Smile]

You can't go wrong with an aftermarket Walbro pump..... but your problem sounds like it is the TFI module instead of the fuel pump. Only time will tell....
