Im thinking about putting some headers on my 2002 v6 mustang. I have no idea if i should go with long or short tube headers and i was wondering if anybody has some aftermarket ones on their v6 mustang. Also i wanted to know which ones make the most power and the best sound. I dont mind switching up my exhaust for long tubes if they would be best. Plus how much of a pain would it be to intall long vs. short tube headers?

Have you considered some rear end gears instead? Generally speaking, larger exhaust kills power down low, and with a V6, you don't want to sacrafice power at lower RPM's.

Have you ever considered a 4.6?

JBA makes some nice shorties that I would recommend. It won't change sound much but you will notice a power gain. You don't need long tubes without a power adder especially on a V6. Gears in the rear end would definately be more worth while, but it's your ride, so as you will with it. If you are going headers my vote goes to JBA
