It's up to you. Since you don't do much freeway driving, I would go 4.10's. If you don't race it much or/and are still looking for good gas mileage, go with 3.73. This has to be the single most asked question on this board!

Seriously it is isn't it. Use a tire calculator to find what RPMs you'll be with your tires/slicks and imagine if you're fine with the extra gas and cabin noise when crusing at 70-80MPH. Also drive someones else's car and ask if they could choose again, what would they get.

If a 5 spd and you plan on leaving the stock cam or running a S/c get the 3.73's, otherwise 4.10's if you plan on more mods or run an A4

if you have a aod i would go 4.10's, i just went from 2.73's to 410's in my 89 lx and oh my god!! what a diference, now it wont hook up at all but pulls soooo! much harder time for some better tires and suspension work
good luck!

so in my AOD Tbird i would go with 410's, cuz it's weaker than your stang, eh?
dumb "standard output" crap...
how involved is it to change gear sets? is it better off having a gear shop swap em? if so, how much does that usually run? how much more if you decide to ditch the peg leg and get a posi?

i would say that with the aod and the wieght of the tbird that 4.10's would work great, and its not that bad on the freeway i drive 60 miles each way to work and i still take my stang sometimes and its not that bad
i cant give you any rpm's@mph because my speedometer is way off right now. a buddy of mine at work did my gears and did a geat job and he's right in clovis so when your ready let me know and i will hook you up with him he only charges like $150
