Im about to order some pro5.0 3.90s for my car and i was wondering if you guys new of a good place to install them. There is a place in my city called california street machines that wanted to charge me $700 for the install, thats not right. BTW I live in fairfield.

Rearend Specialists always gets great reviews from all the mustang guys I know but I have not gone there myself.

I highly, highly recommend using Motorsport gears and Rearend Specialties.

With what they quoted on their site (480 including gears), you wont find a better deal than that. I remember years ago when I went to them, it was 375 for labor and I brought my own gears, so this sounds like a deal.

Go return the gears you bought and head down to RearEnd Specialists - They charged me $350 for labor if i get my own gears and if i get it from then it would be $430 alltogether [patriot] Had it done in 35 minutes too and came out the parking lot spinning [Big Grin]

If you wanna save some cash, have them installed by some experienced installers on the board:

I've seen people charge $150-200 for it, if you have your gears already. Just trying to help out.

Stock to Performance in Concord does good work. They can do anything on Mustangs, Camaros or basically any custom hot rod.

I charge the following prices

These prices are if still in vehicle
$150 for drum brake cars
$200.00 for disc brake cars

These prices are for rearends out of the car
$100.00 for drum brake cars
$150.00 disc brake cars
$75 if I am not removing any parts excpet for internals for a gear changeover

There is a $10.00 charge for removing and pressing new bearing on pinion gear(if applicable).If the gears are used and the bearing is reusable the $10.00 fee doesnt apply
