I want to do a flush on my power steering system. How do i go about doing it for a 98 GT. There is also a problem because the fluid is starting to foam.

almost any dealership has power steering flush systems.

The only way I know how is to drain as much as possible, it'll be hard cause some always stays in the rack, and then refill it...It may take a few times but it should do the trick...Also, when you bleed a power steering system all you need to do is turn the steering wheel from full lock one way to full lock the other way...

MAKE SURE TO USE THE CORRECT FLUID,...

The older Fords take ATF-Type F as the power steering fluid...96-98 Mustangs use Mercon/Dextron ATF as power steering fluid!...

should i disconnect any hoses, if any, to bleed the system.

No need to disconnect any hoses to bleed the system, only to drain it...

When you bleed a power steering system all you need to do is turn the steering wheel from full lock one way to full lock the other way, with the car running... [patriot]
