i have a e303 cam in my car now and i dont know what my idle should be at right now its at 1000 rpm and when its lower than that when i start the car the idle will go up and down and want to cut off until i give it gas a couple of times then it will idle cool, but when my idles at 1000 or higher and i start the car it will go up and down but wont try to cut off, what could this be maby my tps or somethig cause i have be messing with it without useing the tps tester because its at my friends house so i know its kinda off,i even got one of those idle parts that go between the throdle body and the idle valve and i dont think it helps, anyone ever had this problem or know how to fix it?please help?

how far up and down? u might have a vaccum leak somewhere. mine did that in my old 5.0 when i got the e303 cam and it turns out i had a vaccum leak. fixed the leak and the idle was fine. my idle was at 900rpm

I reset my idle and it seemed to fix my problem. Mine is set for 950ish
You might have a vacuum leak though so check that out too.
Also if your using a K7N airfilter if you just oiled it and you put to much sometimes oil will get sucked back and get on your MAF wire and it will cause the same problem.

i dont think i have a vacume leak cause it will drive and idle fine any other time, its just when i turn the car off and let it sit then start it up again the idle will go up and down a little bit then it will go so low that i have to give it gas so it wont cut off, then once it stopes the idle will be cool.could tps setting have something to do with it?im going to check again for vacume leaks.

if ur gonna check for vaccum leaks, spary starting fluid around where leaks could be...if u have a leak ur idle will shoot up to about 2000 rpm then drop down after like 3 seconds
