ok, i swapped the motor n tranny from my 91gt to my 90 and i never had this problm on the 91. This is what it does. ITs in neutral,i start it up ,idels fine but when i take out the clutch it does like a gear winding sound like on the tranny and it ideals high ideals at around 2k!?and other problem! my friend tried to time it and he said it wouldnt,he said the computer or the wirning might be fucked and need fix? what should i do?

When you engage the clutch your disconnecting any power from your engine to the trany...When it is in neutral, and the clutch is pedal up, the input shaft is connected to the engine...The gears on the lay shaft are not directly connected go the output shaft, thus neutral....So basically, if you let out your clutch in neutral and the transmission makes a noise you have either a bad bearing or a chipped gear tooth in your transmission(check fluid level too).....
When your friend tried to check the timming on your car, did he take out the spout connector?...
Also you might just wanna take a trip to OSH to get the 1 upper intake bolt....They make stainless steel bolts and even chrome ones there...

Your Ideal IDLE should be around 650-750 rpm.
